10 Ways to Get Motivated When You’re Having an Off Day

No matter where you work, everyone has off days. And sometimes it's hard to get motivated! Check out these tips to get out of your rut and back on track!

Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’.

I started working from home in the beginning of 2016 and haven’t looked back since. I put the TV on in the background, veg out on the couch with my computer on my lap, and get right to work. It’s relaxing and I love it. But one thing I’ve learned is that it’s often so hard to get motivated. I’ll catch myself glazed over and staring off into space. Or sometimes I just can’t come up with anything worth writing about. Nothing is worse than having an off day.

A Look at a Fashion Photoshoot Behind the Scenes

A look behind the scenes of my fashion photoshoot

So if you’re wondering what really goes on at a fashion shoot, then take a look behind the scenes at my photoshoot.

Review of Lime Crime Velvetines Matte Liquid Lipstick

In this review of Lime Crime Velvetines Matte Liquid Lipstick I'll give you the pros and cons of the product as well as some tips. Check it out!

I recently found myself perusing the Lime Crime website *just for fun*. And we all know how that ends. Here I am a few weeks later with 5 matte liquid lip colors that I totally don’t need. But I wanted them. And who am I to deny myself the joy of bringing my lipstick collection from 26 to 31? Plus how could I say no when the description of the lipsticks is so enticing?

The original liquid matte lipstick inspired by rose petals.

I mean come on. Who doesn’t want rose petal lips, am I right? I’ve had bad luck in the past with matte lipsticks that pretty much felt like clay on my face. But the promise of rose petal lips gave me hope. So, after splurging a little, I ended up with these colors: Jinx, Polly, Prairie, Riot, and Cement. I wore them around for hours on end, ate, drank, and otherwise abused my lips so I could give my full and honest review of Lime Crime Velvetines Matte Liquid Lipstick. I’ll take you through each color and then give an overview of the product.

4 Easy Steps to Getting Amazing Goodwill Finds for Cheap

How to find awesome clothes at Goodwill quickly and easily
How to Get Amazing Goodwill Finds

I’ll be the first to admit: I shop at Goodwill. But who even cares? Goodwill used to have this stigma of being a low class place where people go to buy crappy things–but not anymore. I know a lot of people that shop at second hand stores unashamedly, and I am openly one of them. Sure, I still hit up places like Zara and Forever 21, but some of the cutest clothes I own have actually come from thrift stores. Not to mention I feel really proud wearing them around knowing I got a killer deal. Anyone can score some amazing Goodwill finds if they just know what to look for.

My Cozy Winter Clothes Wish List to Keep Warm This Season

My Cozy Winter Clothes Wish List to Keep You Warm This Season

It’s winter again and my cold Los Angeles bones aren’t used to the frigid Michigan temperatures yet. Needless to say, with a closet that’s stocked full of 70 and sunny, I’m not fairing too well in my first full Midwest winter. While I love the layered look, the California climate just never called for a blouse under a cardigan under a jacket under a coat. Therefore I knew I needed a winter clothes wish list to prepare and organize everything in one place.

Top 5 Cutest Hipster Apartment DIY Projects

Top 5 Cutest Hipster Apartment DIY Projects

Decorating on a budget can be tough. While one of my favorite places to shop for hipster decor is Urban Outfitters, there’s no way the average person could afford to furnish an entire apartment there. Whether you are moving to a new apartment or just want to spice up your first college dorm, DIY projects are one of the best ways to decorate without breaking the bank. In fact, some of the biggest conversation starters in my place are the pieces I built myself. That’s why I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorite hipster apartment DIY projects. Not only can you get that designer look for a fraction of the price, but you also get the satisfaction of knowing your hand went into creating such a unique and beautiful piece (all while impressing your friends with your mad skills).
