Cleansing face masks that will have you asking, “what acne?”
I’ll be the first to admit I freak out when I wake up with a blemish that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. And I know I’m not the only one out there. But we only have ourselves to blame.
We apply makeup, lie under the sun, sweat during our workouts, follow up with a quick facial rinse at night and call it a day.
The truth is, washing your face isn’t enough to keep your skin healthy and acne-free. Too often we unintentionally neglect our faces, which is ironic since they’re the one thing people see the most.
For me, face masks have been a simple fix to all of that. Just apply one whenever you have time alone, whether it’s during a long Netflix sesh or while you wash dishes. They only take 10-15 minutes, and the benefits are immediately visible.
So I decided to compile a list of my favorite face masks for acne control that you’ll find easy (and relaxing!) to add to your routine.
1. Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
This face mask is one of a kind because you can actually feel it working! Your face will pulsate when the clay starts to dry, and it feels amazing.
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay works best when mixed with Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar (with the ‘Mother’). The type of apple cider vinegar is important, so don’t just skimp out with whatever you have around the house! But if your skin is sensitive, I would suggest using 1/2 part apple cider vinegar and 1/2 part water to dilute the mixture a little.
After it’s fully dry, wash with warm water and unveil your new skin. It removes dirt and impurities, leaving you with an incredibly soft, smooth complexion. And with such a deep clean, your skin is much less prone to blemishes.
2. Pure Biology Clay Face Mask
While we’re on the clay mask topic, Pure Biology Clay Face Mask has mixed up a phenomenal product. What initially sold this for me were all of the drastic before and after photos in the reviews. And now I’m a believer too!
This face mask does it all-from brightening and smoothing to correcting imperfections such as dark spots, visible pores, acne scars, and blackheads. Plus it doesn’t contain alcohol, salicylic acid or any other harsh ingredients that can be irritating or drying on your skin.
It’s infused with Nature Pep Pea, which is a way of restoring your skin to it’s natural balance. And homeostasis=goodbye acne.
3. Majestic Pure Activated Charcoal Mud Mask
Since charcoal is all the rage for its many uses and health benefits, this mask absolutely had to make the list. The Majestic Pure Activated Charcoal Mud Mask is made with the highest quality activated coconut charcoal powder, so you can feel safe putting it on your face.
And if you have sensitive skin, this is the face mask for you. Charcoal is gentle enough for all skin types, but has strong absorption powers, drawing oil, dirt and other impurities from clogged pores.
4. Aria Starr Dead Sea Mud Mask
The Aria Starr Dead Sea Mud Mask was created using a professional spa formula, so you know it’s good. And everything in it is 100% natural and organic.
It is made with minerals and ingredients such as magnesium, zinc, potassium, aloe, jojoba, and shea butter. This power-packed formula detoxifies, eliminates acne and blackheads, and moisturizes your skin. It even stimulates circulation! And by increasing blood flow to your skin cells, you’re left with naturally healthy, younger looking skin.
5. Charcoal Peel Off Mask
If you’re one that prefers the satisfaction of a peel off mask, then this is for you. I would suggest starting with a hot towel over your face to open up your pores. Then apply the mask.
The Charcoal Peel Off Mask might sting a little when you peel it off, but it’s worth it. You’ll be able to see all of the tiny little blackheads and impurities stuck to the mask. It’s like instant gratification.
For extra acne-fighting power, follow up by washing your face with cold water to close your pores and keep your skin looking flawless.
