To keep you on trend AND comfortable.
When I’m not out and about or doing photoshoots, you can usually find me at home curled up in a blanket wearing sweats. I love fashion and styling an outfit, don’t get me wrong. But half the time I’m so uncomfortable during the day that I’m just counting down the minutes until I can come home, throw on an oversized t-shirt and yoga pants, and put my hair in a bun.
So my shopping quest is usually to find an outfit that works on two levels. It has to be cute, and it has to be comfortable. Over time I’ve learned that jumpsuits are usually a safe bet. They’re a one piece, so you’ve got an instant outfit with no effort. They’re currently right on trend, so you know you’ll look fashionable. And maybe most importantly, they are so comfy. You’ll feel like you’re wearing onesie pajamas (except more socially acceptable and age-appropriate).
If you’re petite, a cropped jumpsuit and some flats might be a great option. Those that are a little taller can get away with full-length pants. For a statement look, add heels to a jumpsuit with a plunging back like I’ve done here. There are tons of ways to accessorize a jumpsuit, as well as lots of silhouettes to choose from. You just have to figure out what is right for you.
Styling the Wide Leg Jumpsuit Outfit
1. Choker: Chokers can easily be dressed up or down. I’ll wear them with a tight little black dress and some pumps for a night out, or a casual top and shorts for a daytime look. Like a good pair of jeans, a choker will match with just about anything you pair it with.
2. Jumpsuit: You can’t go wrong with a jumpsuit. Play around with different styles. Get one that ties in the back or one that has a plunging neckline. There are endless options for every body type. And Asos just happens to have the best selection ever.
3. Bag: I love the look of a big bag with a jumpsuit. Try something that has a stark contrast or a pop of color.
4. Heels: With full-length jumpsuits, wear a pair of heels or ankle booties. For a cropped jumpsuit I love the look of wearing sock booties.
